So, Rambung coffee beans are an origin coffee from Ethiopia but currently, they can commonly be found in Indonesia. Why Indonesia? The history of these beans starts back in the 20th century when it was first transported from Ethiopia to Indonesia.

This Ethiopian cultivar was first brought to Java (an island in Indonesia) along with another type which is called Abyssinia. Abyssinia commonly known as the Rambung coffee variety is a hybrid between TimTim and original Abyssinia 3.
Currently, Rambung coffee beans are planted in Aceh, which is an Indonesian province. Due to the fact that these plants are bigger than normal coffee types, it takes much more space and therefore yields less per one hectare. Considering the fact that the coffee was found in 1928, it does not have much to talk about, however, let’s see what the future brings for the Rambung coffee variety.
