Great product and great price
I used to use a popcorn air machine to roast my coffee. While air roasting is cheap and pretty effective, the amount you can roast is extremely low. This roaster is the first of its kind that I’ve used and I’m very pleased with it. Let’s start from the beginning.1.Package was very good and product was well protected during shipping.2. Instructions were extremely basic and used Celsius. I roasted mine at 180 for 10-15 min for a French roast.3. Well made but basic. I do appreciate the glass lid rather than plastic and the nonstick surface makes clean up easy.4. It came with a timer that was in Chinese but still easy to use5. The volume you can roast is still something I’m playing with but first batch was a little under a pound and the evenness of roast was decent for sure,6. Only downside is that it does not agitate the beans like an air roaster but if you manually agitate by moving the machine around like a frying pan you will not only get a more even roast but also help with the removal of the chaff.7. I am over all extremely pleased and will purchase again in the future if this one goes down!

This is a very good quality roaster for producing excellent roasted beans the way they should turn out. Read some of the other reviews where they complained but they didn’t follow instructions. I tried doing it different ways like they said which didn’t work well but when I followed the directions exactly it worked perfectly. I only roast enough for three days at a time. One thing that is important that I had to do is the rotation arms that move around the beans, it wasn’t quite flat enough. I took the nut off and bent the arms slightly until they were perfectly flat and not scraping on the heating surface. That way no small beans can get trapped under the arms. You want the arms nice and flat because then they allow the beans to distribute evenly while roasting. This is not a high volume roaster. I only make slightly less tian 3/4 of a cup of raw beans and that gives me 1 1/3 cups of Roasted Beans when I use the organic single origin Guatemala raw beans from Equator company. Also, it is best to allow the beans to cure for two days to absorb enough CO2 and enrich the flavour. They still taste great freshly roasted but that two day time thing is good. Make sure you use up the beans within 5 days after roasting! Highly recommend this machine. Good value for the price too.
